Our home for the next 10 days- it fits everything and everybody. We almost didn't make it out of NYC, because the one we rented had lost its power steering, and there was no other one to replace it. But it all turned out O.K.- the brother of the guy who ran the rental company who worked for another rental company happened to have one to rent....it's all about family connections. |

So after this bit of Sansoshima (for those of you who are not familiar with it, it's a resistance, in the buddhist tradition, that comes your way when you are trying to do something positive, and you just have to forge on and it'll pass, and it did). Crossing over to New Jersey we see our first look at downtown Manhattan without the twin towers of the World Trade Center. I guess the image speaks for itself. |

John takes full advantage of the roomy interior, and takes residence in the backseat of the van. He still is very concious of his rock n' roller appearance, and although he seems to be asleep he knows full well that I am documenting this moment for posterity. |

What a difference a sound check with a few screaming guitar notes can make! |

This is our first credit card swipe of the tour and Chris here is holding one of my CDs. I am trying to do this right- I guess he would be a bit annoyed to find a $1500 charge on his credit card (Hey Chris if this is the case, drop a note and we 'll send you 99 more!) |

Onto the second show- I guess I will be taking pictures during this song (The Fatal Hour) every night, since I am not playing on it. |

Sarah and Percy, same song you guessed.
Well this show turned out really well, we were all a bit nervous, since it was (for Nuove Musiche) the first live show. It really came together, and the guys at Orion Sound Studios, Mike, Adam & Jay are great- what a nice thing they have going there, the support and the love of the music is so strong that it propels us. It made it possible to open this tour with a great gig, making us more confident in the concepts that we are realizing with these two bands.
