Wires, plugs and pedals. This is Marc setting up at the Eyedrum in Atlanta. An art gallery/performance space that lent itself to this creative chaos at work. |

We had a day off on Sunday, and it happened to be Marc's birthday. Heading back to Nashville from Atlanta we saw a sign for the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. How could a van full of musicians NOT stop and take this tour? It was a fun little field trip, but alas, Lynchburg is a dry town and although the only place to buy whiskey is on the JD premises, it was SUNDAY....there wasn't a drop of alcohol to be tasted, but much to be smelled. Marc worked out his frustration by pretending to be a fireman. |
Later that evening we celebrated Marc's birthday at South Street in Nashville. Down home hospitality and plenty of Jack Daniels to go around! We recommend Gentleman's Jack, it drips twice through the maplewood charcoal and is extra smooth. We are all experts now on whiskey production, and may consider a new venture...Buckyball Spirits? |

Espresso in the morning, champagne at night....when in Rome....try to introduce something different! |

All that whiskey went to our heads. |

On our way to the Birmingham gig we stopped for another field trip at the Space Museum in Huntsville. Percy was very excited. |
percy rocket afficionado movie (432k) |
Later he tried to recreate the take-off.....school kids were runnning for their lives. |

This is Saturn V. They wouldn't let us go in, but it was cool to see from the outside. |

Belmont University has a Really Large Marimba, where we gave a clinic in Nashville on Monday....we had to take the mallets away after awhile. |
