FT Lauderdale movie (2.1mg) |
Long long drives make you yearn for great open spaces. Above is a little montage that sums it up nicely. |
Tampa, FL- we arrived on time and are playing outside on the patio. The outside sound is unusual but not bad, and some of Sarah's long lost familly came to see us as well as Lance's inlaws. It's Florida and everybody moves there at some point, I guess. |
this ghostly apparition of Percy is quite eery... Percy does not believe in ghosts, but thinks that they could be real, as his son Dylan had a spooky encounter in Austria a few months ago, so it is on his mind. |
But hey the man from Wales is enjoying a stroll on the beach on a warm windy day. He would not really go in the water but from the sidelines the ocean has an appeal. |

Ladies and gentleman: Sarah Pillow and Tunnels |
Far away from home Julien takes time to reflect (and text message), when he is not playing the guitar, Julien took a lot of the pictures you see on this tourbook. His little camera is as small as it is powerful and I really appreciate the help. |
At night of course we perform, the venue is called Alligator Alley, and "Kilmo" the owner is a music lover who knows how to treat a band and get a good sound, this is such a treat. Sarah is having her best performance of the tour. |
Julien is joining Tunnels for a long improv every night, we can stretch out and create new textures and new grooves that take the whole thing to a new place. |
Percy is on fire tonight, the Jaco Pastorious brothers and their band "The Way of the Groove" opened for us and the bass playing is eerily reminiscent of their father. It is great that they are keeping with the tradition and to be able to witness Percy's performance that night must have been quite an experience for them. |
Lance plays in front of the window, and people can check out his playing from the back as well as the front. I don't know how he feels about it, it is a bit uncomfortable, but at least they are behind the window. |
I am definitely intense when I perform, especially on Wall to Wall Sunshine, to be able to use a screaming guitar sound is a lot of fun, and powerful too. |
