Everybody is off to a good start, as we all recovered well from the chemicals that created all this confusion yesterday. The weather is still pretty bad, and freezing rain is falling steadily. An interesting point about this morning is that Frank is actually the one who woke us all up! |
Sakura is also feeling much better, and the coffee at the desk is drinkable, and although a cup of miso soup would be better, they are hard to come by around here
We made it to Chapel Hill, and after a brief visit to the local airport, to please Frank’s fascination with airplanes (see 2001 tour book), we find that we made it in the local paper’s “Best Bets” section. We did work hard to get some media support, and for twenty packages e-mails fax, phone calls to get one mention is a success. |
But things started taking a strange turn, Frank’s bass drum pedal is missing a crucial part, and playing like this it would go through the drum head by the 3rd tune. We found the missing piece but crazy glue is needed, and this mishap has an insidious effect, and Frank after playing the whole gig gets a bit restless. |

Frank jumps in the cage (this club has some alternative nights that, we guess, use this contraption) and insists on doing a dance (fully dressed, rest assured) for everyone to enjoy. |
So much so, that Percy (who is doing some very strange dance only performed in the backwoods of his native Wales). Marc ( who actually is the instigator of this strange event), his interpretation of an ancestral Swiss dance in which he recreates his escape from that same country. Now who’s got the key to let us out of here? |
