We are now leaving the rain behind us, moving into blue skies. On the great plain of the Midwest the clouds take on a big role in defining the landscape. They are the missing hills and valleys. We are on a straight road to Mishawaka, where Sarah Pillow's colleague Mary Anne Ballard and her husband, Alex Blachly, both accomplished musicians who are going to give us shelter for this night off.

While we are having a good time wining and dining, thanks to our hosts, and talking music and politics, the moon is almost full outside and the temperature has dropped twenty degrees. The fall is here. I usually shy away from the full moon, it is so bright that it outshines all the other sights of the night sky, like star clusters and galaxies. But it is a pretty sight, and I like to imagine its path zigzagging along earth's orbit, an unusual way to think about it, but real nonetheless. |
I forgot to mention that Mary Anne and Alex play period instruments, so it is a treat to be playing on a harpsichord in the morning as Walker experienced. |
Mary Anne plays viola da gamba with Sarah's group Galileo's Daughters, and she has a room full of them hanging on three walls of the "gamba room". Quite a sight, some of them are over 400 years old, I feel a bit in a museum, but better, since these instruments are not just sitting there, they are being played too. |

Now in Cleveland, Tunnels has played many times in this Rock & Roll city. We had a phone interview on the road with Randy Allar on his Friday fusion show. Randy has been a strong supporter of the band and has been instrumental in promoting us every time we play in Cleveland. |
Jim Milletti and his wife run the Winchester, an oasis where alternative styles can be found and heard every night. This is the love of music that drives them and with that we are on the exact same wavelength, it is probably why we do well in this venue. |
It is about three in the morning we had lively discussions and a few beers, everybody is in a jolly mood, which apparently translates into arm raising of some sort, why, don't ask me- it is too late. |
Prog in the Park, Rochester, was a great show, we had lots of energy and the music flows through our hands. We played a two hour show, but to me it seemed only half that. Time goes fast when you have fun, that's right! |
Enjoy the pictures, the sounds will come soon.

The crew of Prog in the Park are all volunteers, and they did a great job at hosting us, once again the love of music prevailed. |
